Making Tomato Juice (manually-there was no electric juicer)
See all those tomatoes, my fingers were orangish red for a couple days after!
I made all that!
The final product!
Laundry Day (manually)
Pouring water into the agitator
Clothes agitating in the water and soap (6 minutes)
Rinsing the clothes
Wringing out the newly rinsed clothes
The clothes hanging on the line to dry
Making ketchup (manu...you get the point)
And notice there are no tomatoes, if I understood correctly, those will come later.
Apples, Carrots and Red Bell Peppers
Me cranking the veggies through a meat grinder

Noroc Becca. I just caught up on your blog, and it's seems like you're enjoying yourself. I think it's safe to say, Moldova is pretty much the same everywhere you go. However, in my tiny isolated village, the limba moldovaneansca is a lot more difficult to understand. For example, every morning I thank my bunica for breakfast, and instead of saying Fii Sanatos, she says Sheee Shanatosh.
ReplyDeleteHi Honey,
ReplyDeleteYou look great. I might go so far as to say relaxed and rested. The country does seem to agree with you. I hope you can teach me you new skill of canning. You look so natural. I love reading you blog and seeing the pics. Thank God for wireless. Ha Ha.
Love Mom
I grew up canning tomatos, funny with it being such a big crop around Sacramento that I've never done it here. I did make and can strawberry jam with our 3yo last month. She was very excited about crushing the berries with a potato masher. Next up, I've found some salsa recipes online to can, maybe the start of some Christmas gift baskets!
ReplyDeleteI cant wait for you to share your new skills with me!!
